Our Tree Planting Target for 2024 Achieved.

We did it … and by the end of March!

The Vale Press team has planted 1014 trees in our local area on the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire borders.

This year’s planting consisted of Beech, Bird Cherry, Elder, English Oak, English Walnut, Field Maple, Hawthorn, Hazel, Hornbeam, Rowan, Silver Birch, Sweet Chestnut plus one semi-established Lebanese Cedar and three apple trees of an old locally-grown variety, Devonshire Quarrenden.

Next year, we’re planning to plant copses of Willow in two low-lying parts, next to a brook and next to pond to help the overall flood-water management of the area.

Willows provide habitats for one of the widest and most diverse ranges of insect-life, so are excellent tree-hosts in bio-diversity schemes.

Vale Press FSC Certification renewed for further 5 Years.

Vale Press Ltd are pleased to report that, once again, we have passed our FSC audit with flying colours and that certification has now been extended for a further five years.

Vale Press Sales Director, Edward Stowe, explains: “The Forest Stewardship Council – known as FSC – process certifies that forest-sourced products, such as paper originate from sustainable forests. The process ensures integrity of the supply chain through a “chain-of-custody” which Vale Press are an essential part of.

Our staff at Vale are always pleased to help when our clients request that we add the FSC logo with our unique Certificate details to the artwork for jobs which we print for them. It confirms compliance and demonstrates environmental responsibility”.
