IMG_3624.jpeg

We are really pleased to be able to support the fantastic work of our own local heroes at Eco Work-Shop, based near Stratford-upon-Avon. They do a brilliant job in supporting adults from local towns and villages, who have learning disabilities or autism, by providing purposeful, real work activities that develop skills and abilities. It’s a fantastic and happy place!

Our thanks to those who donated/attended the dinner and in particular to Jean & David Duckham who organised the event.

Vale help to “Remember” – by breaking world record!

Vale Press were really pleased to be involved in sponsoring the “Human Poppy” event in Cirencester on Remembrance Sunday, November 11th – the 100th anniversary of the armistice.

We helped to “get the ball rolling” a few months ago by printing the introductory   programme; sponsoring the Zone Boards signage used on the day and providing consultancy for the world record breaking event.

On Sunday 3300 people formed a “human poppy” by wearing coloured ponchos to create a sea of red, green and black. Each poncho represented someone who gave the life in WW1 from the Cotswolds.

The event was covered by national media including the BBC, Daily Telegraph, Express, Sun and Mirror.

A truly fitting way to “Remember”.

Congratulations and thanks to all involved – those who organised it and those who attended.

Vale Press hoping for a “great innings” this evening to support an amazing local charity!

In particular we are delighted to be able to support the fantastic work of our own local heroes at Eco Work-Shop, based near Stratford-upon-Avon. They do a brilliant job in supporting adults from local towns and villages, who have learning disabilities or autism, by providing purposeful, real work activities that develop skills and abilities.
The Eco Work-Shop will benefit from the raffle proceeds at tonight’s event, where the guest speaker will be cricket legend, David Gower OBE – former England Captain who played in 117 test matches and 114 one-day Internationals – and now the “face of cricket” as Sky Sports Presenter and Commentator.

Vale Press Chairman, Lynden Stowe says: “Whilst at Vale we’ve printed for sporting legends, superheroes and even a prime minister, we never forget the often unsung local heroes who do so much good work.

We try and give something back to the communities where we live, work and play, and that’s why we are so keen to see this evenings event raise money for such a really worthwhile and important local charity.”

Flu can kill.

Winter flu is a major killer, particularly for those who are the most vulnerable in our community.

Dealing with it’s impact over the winter months takes up a huge amount of NHS resource  in our hospitals over the Winter period.

That’s why at Vale Press we encourage our staff to have “the jab” by offering to reimburse costs for a vaccination at participating pharmacies.

It’s also why we were very pleased to donate a couple of information “pull-up” banners to one of our local surgeries, in Chipping Campden.
