Sponsoring the “Green Column” and “World Book Day”.

Vale Press Ltd are pleased to be sponsoring “The Green Column” in our local community magazine – The Chipping Campden Bulletin.

This month we’ve also sponsored the prizes for a competition to recognise World Book Day, which is on Thursday 5th March.

World Book Day is “… A day to celebrate the joys of books and reading …” and as printers we are, of course, very keen to promote the printed word.

Indeed, a recent survey suggested that 70% of people preferred reading  “proper books” to online versions!

Not really in Calgary – or anywhere near a cable car, snow or a mountain!

Vale Press were, though, really pleased to be in Broadway to support a Fundraising Dinner at Russells Restaurant in aid of CASS & Friends.

fullsizeoutput_56dCASS & Friends was set up in early 2015 to offer financial support to young and aspiring athletes in the Cotswolds and South Worcestershire. The charity is based close to Broadway and Vale Press HQ.

Funded totally from public donations, CASS provide financial help to families with gifted sporting youngsters.

To read more about their great work and to read about some of the gifted, local young sportsmen and women, who CASS are supporting, please visit: www.cassandfriends.org

The Patron of the charity is an old friend of Vale Press – Eddie the Eagle, who told us that you will soon be able to see him back on TV – but we’ve promised not to divulge just what he will be up to!

A vital resource. Vale Press are proud to support Midlands Air Ambulance.

Midlands Air Ambulance is the charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving the communities of six Midlands counties: Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

This constitutes the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK.

Since 1991, the charity has responded to more than 50,000 missions averaging 2,000 per year, making it one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK.

Midlands Air Ambulance receives no Government or National Lottery funding.

Each Midlands Air Ambulance mission costs £2,500 and in excess of £9 million is needed each year to keep its’ three air ambulances operational, which is donated entirely by the public and local businesses.

That’s why donations and fundraising are so essential and why Vale Press were keen to nominate Midlands Air Ambulance to receive the raffle proceeds from the Stratford Sporting Club Dinner that Vale Press recently sponsored.
