Vale Press hoping for a “great innings” this evening to support an amazing local charity!

In particular we are delighted to be able to support the fantastic work of our own local heroes at Eco Work-Shop, based near Stratford-upon-Avon. They do a brilliant job in supporting adults from local towns and villages, who have learning disabilities or autism, by providing purposeful, real work activities that develop skills and abilities.
The Eco Work-Shop will benefit from the raffle proceeds at tonight’s event, where the guest speaker will be cricket legend, David Gower OBE – former England Captain who played in 117 test matches and 114 one-day Internationals – and now the “face of cricket” as Sky Sports Presenter and Commentator.

Vale Press Chairman, Lynden Stowe says: “Whilst at Vale we’ve printed for sporting legends, superheroes and even a prime minister, we never forget the often unsung local heroes who do so much good work.

We try and give something back to the communities where we live, work and play, and that’s why we are so keen to see this evenings event raise money for such a really worthwhile and important local charity.”

The team at Vale really welcomes the opportunity to engage through our work placements, every Thursday, when our friends from the Work-Shop come and give us a helping hand for a couple of hours.

Flu can kill.

Winter flu is a major killer, particularly for those who are the most vulnerable in our community.

Dealing with it’s impact over the winter months takes up a huge amount of NHS resource  in our hospitals over the Winter period.

That’s why at Vale Press we encourage our staff to have “the jab” by offering to reimburse costs for a vaccination at participating pharmacies.

It’s also why we were very pleased to donate a couple of information “pull-up” banners to one of our local surgeries, in Chipping Campden.

Wonderful Worcestershire!

Vale Press were very pleased to be part of the Wonderful Worcestershire 2018 Awards this year as main sponsors of the catalogue and printing. The awards have been running since 2016 when just the ladies were the main focus, but after such positive feedback the 2018 awards also included men.

Covering many categories including Business Owner of the Year, Significant Achievement of the Year and Rising Star of the Year, the awards focus on the Worcestershire community, full of amazing people, businesses and charities.

The Awards ceremony was held at New Road, Worcestershire County Cricket Ground and the event saw hundreds of nominees and attendees on the day, all out to celebrate the success of their peers.

We very much look forward to working with Sarah and Julia on the next event but if you would like further information on this years proceedings please view their website: http://wonderfulworcestershirewomen.co.uk/

Finally, here’s Louis Armstrong with an almost relevant song!

The best form of recycling – left over Paper for Local Schools!

Just occasionally we have paper delivered to us that isn’t quite good enough for our fast printing presses (they’re fussy!) and sometimes we simply have some offcuts that we can’t really use economically.

The paper is ideal, however, for younger children to draw on and, sometimes, also for crafts lessons.

We’re pleased to trim it to size, put it in a box and drop off to our local schools.

Here’s a load which we recently dropped off to primary schools in Blockley, Ebrington, Honeybourne, Mickleton, Pebworth, St James’ Chipping Campden, St Catharine’s Chipping Campden, Willersey and Dormer House, Moreton-in-Marsh.

After all – we need to support our next generation of graphic designers!
