Fine Printing to support Fine Arts!

Vale Press are pleased to have sponsored the Broadway Arts Festival.

Broadway is roughly a mile or so from our factory in Willersey and we’re proud to have so many clients amongst it’s residents and business base and to print for many of the high-quality art galleries on Broadway’s High Street.

Vale Press undertook the printing for the 2025 Programme of the biennial Broadway Arts Festival, which took place this year between the 6th and 15th of June, with well over 50 events listed. These events ranged from Argentine Tango lessons and butterfly wire sculpting workshops to the Great Broadway Paint-Off, which saw contestants, both amateurs and professionals, compete to paint the best painting of Broadway throughout the course of a day.

Whilst the festival has its roots in the village of Broadway, it continues to earn an enviable national reputation.

A bit like Vale Press!

Capturing a Landscape for Future Generations

Last summer we commissioned our long-standing friend and print customer (and newly-retired) Gary Beard to paint our “Field of Life”.

The meadow was bounteous with bright-yellow and very happy-looking buttercups.

A sight worth capturing.

There was, though, another reason for wishing to capture the image.

In the upper part of the field (just below the wooded area in the image above) we had over the previous two winters planted 3,000 trees including the almost complete re-planting of two hedgerows.

As these trees grow the landscape and our vista will, of course, change,

In years to come, we and future generations will be able to compare “then-and-now” landscapes as the field evolves as a habitat to more birds and wildlife with an increasing bio-diversity.

Spinney or Thicket … and Sloes!

In our Vale Press ” Field of Life” a small grouping of Blackthorn (think sloes!) have self-planted from a nearby hedgerow and are growing naturally into a “spinney” or “thicket”.

Our team will nurture and encourage this growth over the next few years to provide a small dense area of natural protection for birds and wildlife.

And who knows .. future generations may even be picking the sloes for Sloe Gin!

Dogs are “Not Just For Christmas”!

We try and be dog-friendly at Vale Press. Several of our staff bring their dogs in to work, either regularly or occasionally.

Amongst the “pack” is one who came from Many Tears Animal Rescue.

We heard their rescue centre was in need of old duvets and blankets, so we had a good old “sort-out” and de-clutter and we’re able to send off five boxes to help provide some comfort to their arrivals!
