Vale S”pond”sorship … Our Project for 2024/2025

When it comes to environmental projects at Vale Press, we don’t just “talk-the-talk” – we roll our sleeves back; pull our boots on; get stuck-in and get muddy – in our own communities.

Following on from our tree-planting project in 2023 with more planned for 2024, Vale Press have now announced our project for the new year. It’s a two-year project.

We’re sponsoring a POND!

We’re currently undertaking some survey work with specialist pond-ecologists with a view to rejuvenating a local pond.

The pond already plays a key role in holding waters that run-off the Cotswold hills. We hoping to see that role enhanced and, at the same time, make it a haven that attracts even more bio-diversity and wildlife.

Our in-house mathematician estimates the pond holds 50,000 gallons of water!

So it’s very much a case of “watch-this-space” as we report back on our plans and work.

2043 Trees Planted in 2023. Target Achieved!

At the start of 2023, Vale Press Ltd set a target to plant 2023 trees locally to enhance our environment and help our wildlife and bio-diversity.

Mission accomplished. 2043 trees have been planted on the Worcestershire/Gloucestershire borders and include the planting of two new hedgerows with berry-yielding trees for our feathered friends to feed-on and enjoy! Here’s the last tree planted for 2023 – a Lebanon Cedar.

Thats just the start, though. We’re not “resting-on-our-laurels” – next year we’re committed to planting a further 1,000 in 2024. All locally.
